Effectiveness of Low-Level Laser Therapy in Temporomandibular Disorder

Randomized placebo-controlled study to investigate the efficacy of LLLT in TMD. Patients in the treatment group received 15 treatments of 3 J/cm² at 904nm.  Both groups improved in all measures over the study period. The laser group had significantly better improvement in the number of tender points and all range of motion measures.
