About the Webinar

Modalities have long been debated in the rehabilitation clinic regarding efficacy and appropriate use in treatment plans. Taking a deep dive into the evidence, Phil Page, PhD, PT, ATC, CSCS, recently wrote a published article for IJSPT regarding the use of modalities, professional bias and blindspots, and clinical practice guidelines.

During this webinar, special guest Phil Page will unpack his article while bringing over 25 years of experience using modalities in rehabilitation and sports medicine. Page will go on to explain why new research suggests that modalities are beneficial for short-term non-pharmacological pain relief as an adjunct to active treatment.

Modalities Discussed:

  • Laser Therapy
  • Ultrasound
  • Cryotherapy

Phil Page is a prolific clinical writer having penned 45 articles and 23 peer-reviewed papers as well as contributing to nine books.
